Pilates Tables
Most fitness fans know that Pilate’s exercises are workout routines that can help you get and stay fit and relieve many physical health issues too. Pilates exercise provides you with a gentle full-body workout and with results that can benefit you for a lifetime. Like many fitness practices, Pilates has its own exercises and equipment, and one of the more popular pieces of Pilates equipment is the Pilates table.
The Pilates table may look kind of odd at first glance. It is usually a horizontal base enclosed by a metal frame and having a combination of different springs, straps and levers. The configuration allows you to perform a variety of fitness routines and over time you should be able to start experiencing the many benefits that practicing Pilates has to offer. A good beginning Pilate’s table exercise is to simply lie down on the table with your feet at the end where the straps are and put your legs inside the straps and then pull them down. This exercise uses the resistance of your own body weight to tone the calves and thighs. A Pilate’s table can also be used to perform standing exercises where you stand on the table and hold the bars on each side of the frame. With the knees bent insert your feet inside the straps and raise your body with your legs in the straps. Repeating the movement will increase the effects.
Pilates exercise and physical therapy is world renowned for the gentle and effective results that can be achieved with regular practice. The Pilates table is just one of the many different tools available to help make Pilate’s movements easier for beginners, but it might be the most important one you can invest in when starting a Pilate’s regimen at home.
